BARRY - Fri 8th July 2011

The last time I saw anything new in Barry was back in April - since then there have been a number if arrivals (all but one, chemical tankers):
Stolt Puffin came from Liverpool on 28th April, loaded and sailed for Le Havre
Eships Quest has visited 5 times (30th April, 18th May, 29th May, 27th June and 7th July)
Stolt Egret came in from Stanlow on 11th May and sailed for Antwerp - before I could photograph it. (Update - photograph HERE)
Stolt Razorbill came from Stanlow on 23rd May and sailed for..........
Sailing Ship Stavros Niarchos arrived from Belfast for a courtesy visit, sailed bound for Southampton.
Stolt Kittiwake came in from Cork on 17th June sailed for .........

Stolt Kingfisher

Ex- Multitank Batavia,  only recently renamed Stolt Kingfisher.  Had arrived from Falmouth today to load liquid chemicals for Antwerp.

CARDIFF - Sun 3rd July 2011

No new ships since the last post - Aasvik arrived on 1st July from Belfast with a cargo of stone (aggregate) - she sailed on 2nd for Port Talbot. The tanker Bro Gemini arrived on 2nd from Milford Haven and sailed on 3rd.

German Sky

Another of Gerhard Wessels ships.  German Sky had arrived on 1st July from Rotterdam with a cargo of scrap metal, that was discharged in the Roath Dock.  Seen here departing in ballast for Plymouth.

CARDIFF - Fri 1st July 2011

Since the last post, no new visitors, just the regulars:- On 27th container ship Judith Borchard arrived from Liverpool, tanker Bro Developer arrived from Milford Haven both sailed on 28th.  On 30th container ship Sara Borchard arrived from Leixoes and sailed on 1st July and the dredger UKD Orca arrived from Swansea.

Jan/V had arrived on 27th from Bermeo with a gereral cargo (?) discharged at Charles Willies H shed in the Roath Dock.  She is seen here departing for Pasajes.

Pur Navolock

One of Gerhard Wessels very well maintained coasters.  She had arrived from Rotterdam on 26th with a cargo of scrap metal, that was discharged on Ryans Wharf in the Roath Dock, she them moved to No 1 berth in the Queen Alexandra Dock where she loaded a cargo of steel products.  Also seen here departing on the 1st July bound for Greenore.

Cremona

Yet another of Peter Dohles ships to visit Cardiff.  Cremona had arrived from Ijmuiden on 26th with a cargo of steel products - discharged on Ryans Wharf in the Roath Dock.  She too helped make 1st July a busy evening by sailing To Sea For Orders.
