BARRY - Sat October 27th 2012

A couple of arrivals since the last post for Barry, all chemical tankers - on 20th Stolt Dipper came in from Rouen, she sailed for Antwerp the next day.
On 24th Eships Quest arrived from Rotterdam, she sailed for Tjelbergodden the next day.

Photographed arriving from Cork, it looks like she will be loading/part loading and is due to sail for Antwerp on the next tide.

CARDIFF - Fri October 26th 2012

Two arrivals on 22nd:  the tanker Wisby Verity was back again from Milford Haven, she part discharged and sailed for Plymouth the same day. Mittelplate arrived in ballast from Avonmouth, she loaded bulk minerals at D Shed and sailed for Porto Vesme on 25th. She's visited twice and I've not managed to get a photograph - ship details and photo HERE.  UPDATE - a photo has been added here> Mittelplate
Two arrivals on 24th:  Union Emerald came in from Belfast, she berthed at Ryans Wharf and sailed for Rouen on 26th.  The tanker Bro Atland arrived from Gothenburg, she discharged at the Valero Terminal and sailed for Milford Haven on 26th.
The 25th saw the arrival of regular visitor - container ship Rachel Borchard from Leixoes, she sailed for Liverpool on 26th.
Three arrivals on 26th:  The tanker Bro Genius back again from Milford Haven, she part discharged at the Valero Terminal and sailed for Avonmouth the same day. Eva Maria Muller arrived in ballast from Sharpness, she loaded at Ryans Wharf and is due to sail for Bilbao on 28th.

Photographed arriving from Cork, she will load steel products (?) at the Number 1 Berth and is due to sail for Greenore on 29th.

CARDIFF - Sat Oct 20th 2012

There were 3 arrivals on the 20th - the Antiguan flagged coaster Danio from Brake, she discharged at Bells Wharf and sailed for Dunvegan (Isle of Skye) on 21st - I missed this one, so no picture.  Picture and ship details  can be found HERE

Photographed passing Penarth Pier on her approach to Cardiff at the end of her passage from Pasaia (Nr Bayonne).  She discharged at Ryans Wharf and sailed for Ridham on 23rd.

Nathalie had arrived from Truro with a cargo of scrap metals that she discharged at Ryans Wharf. She sailed for Shoreham on 23rd.  I missed her arrival and departure, the picture shows her alongside on the Thames in October 2009.

CARDIFF - Thurs Oct 18th 2012

On 17th the tanker Wisby Verity arrived from Milford Haven, discharged at the Valero Terminal (was the Chevron Terminal) and sailed for Plymouth on the same day.

Stolt Pelican

Arrived from Stade, discharged at the No 1 Oil Terminal and sailed for Eastham on the same day.  Arrival and departure were under cover of darkness so the picture shows her arriving at Barry earlier this year.

CARDIFF - Mon October 15th 2012

The 11th Oct saw 3 arrivals at Cardiff - Merle arrived from Vilanova, unloaded at Ryans Wharf and sailed for Sharpness on 14th. Container ship Joanna Borchard arrived from Leixoes, she sailed for Liverpool on 12th (the last time Merle and Joanne Borchard were at Cardiff, they both arrived on the same day too - 17th August) The third arrival - tanker Bro Genius came in from Milford Haven, she returned there on 12th.
On 13th, the tanker Bro Deliverer came in from Milford Haven, she sailed for Avonmouth on 14th.
On the 14th the locally owned Celtic Pioneer arrived in ballast from Warrenpoint, loaded steel at Ryans Wharf and sailed for Greenore on 17th

Two months since the last new arrival at Barry.  In that time Eships Quest has called on 13th and 23rd Aug, 26th Sept and 7th October.  Stolt Kestrel arrived from Cork on 22nd Aug and sailed for Antwerp on 23rd.  The sail training ship Stavros S Niarchos arrived for the Barry Waterfront Festival on 31st August.  Stolt Guillimot arrived from Harwich on 10th Sept and sailed for Antwerp on the same day.

Arrived from Stanlow on the morning tide and sailed for Moerdijk on the evening tide.

CARDIFF - Mon Oct 8th 2012

Two arrivals today - the chemical tanker LS Evanne arrived from Rotterdam, she discharged at the No 1 Oil Terminal in the Queen Alexandra Dock.  She sailed to sea for orders on 9th.  Both arrival and departure were at night, so no photograph. (on 13th, she is still anchored in Barry Roads awaiting orders)

On 28th September Huelin Endeavour was back from Warrenpoint, she returned there on 30th.
The tanker Bro Genius arrived from Milford Haven on 2nd October, she returned to MH on 6th.
Container ship Charlotte Borchard arrived from Leixoes on 4th and sailed for Liverpool on 5th.
Two arrival on 5th - Aasli arrived from Belfast with a cargo of stone (aggregate) and sailed for Port Talbot on 6th. and the dredger UKD Bluefin arrived from Milford Haven, she sailed for Avonmouth on 8th.
The tanker Bro Globe arrived from Milford Haven on 6th and returned to MH on 8th.
