CARDIFF - Weds April 24th 2013

On 16th the tanker Bro Distributor arrived from Milford Haven with oil products for the Valero Terminal, she returned to MH on 17th.
On 19th Coronel  - at one time, a very frequent arrival at Cardiff - she came in from Dakar with a cargo of timber for the Seawood Shed.  Having discharged, she sailed for Rotterdam on 23rd.
The 23rd, tanker Bro Deliverer arrived from Milford Haven with oil products for the Valero Terminal, she returned to MH on 24th.
Two arrivals on 24th - the dredger UKD Orca - she has been dredging the Wrach Channel for a couple of days.  She came in, probably, to take on stores/water before sailing for Lowestoft on 25th

Arrived from Bremen.  I didn't manage to get down to see what the cargo was that she discharged onto Ryans Wharf.  She was photographed as she sailed on 26th, bound for Swansea.

Arrived 'light' from Sharpness, she loaded steel/wire products at the Number 1 Berth and sailed for Greenore on 17th. I missed her arrival and departure - the picture shows her about to lock out from Sharpness in June 2011.

CARDIFF - Thurs April 11th 2013

On 8th the tanker Thun Gothia (new photo added, she now has a green hull colour - click to follow the link) arrived from Milford Haven with oil products for the Number 1 Oil Terminal.  She returned to MH on 9th.

Gerhard Wessels Pamir arrived from Spain on 6th, she discharged/part discharged at Bells Wharf and sailed for Warrenpoint on 8th.

Arrived from Aheim (Norway) with a cargo of aggregate for the pontoon  wharf - another unusual cargo from a distant port - possibly olivine or silica sand (green/grey in colour) both products used in the refractory,foundry and abrasives industries.  She was photographed as she sailed for Cork on 8th ( I only had my point and shoot camera, so not very good quality picture)  UPDATE:  another picture added below, shows her departing Cardiff on 2nd October 2014.

There were two arrivals on 31st - the tanker Bro Designer from Milford Haven with oil products for the Valero Terminal - she returned to MH on 1st April.  Stadum arrived from Kings Lynn with scrap metals for Ryans Wharf.  She sailed on 3rd April, to sea for orders.

Arrived from Gemlik/Rota (Turkey).  Looked to be discharging steel (wrapped in white plastic) at A Shed.  She sailed for Amsterdam on 3rd.  With night time arrival and departure, I only managed this 'long shot' of a photograph.

Chemtrans Elbe off Sully Island.

Arrived from Rotterdam with oil products for the Number 1 Oil Terminal.  Photographed off Sully Island as she sailed on 30th.  She anchored in Barry Roads for 3 days, awaiting orders, before heading off for Mongstad in Norway.
