CARDIFF - Sun December 30th 2012

The short daylight hours are reducing the photo opportunities, that, plus 'new' ships arriving and sailing under cover of darkness!
The 19th saw the arrival from nearby Uskport of the Dutch BEAUMAIDEN (no photo. UPDATE - photo now added below) she had brought a part cargo of steel (originally from Ijmuiden) discharged on Ryans Wharf.  She sailed for Boulogne (via Portland) on 20th.
On 21st the regular visitor, container ship Rachel Borchard arrived from Leixoes, and sailed for Dublin on 22nd,
The tanker Bro Distributor arrived from Milford Haven on 23rd with oil products for the Valero Terminal.  She returned to MH on 25th.
Two arrivals on 27th (missed both of them) EEMS SOLAR  came in 'light' from Teignmouth, loaded steel/wire products at No 1 Berth and sailed for Limerick on 28th.   James Fishers tanker CLYDE FISHER arrived from Rotterdam and discharged at the No 1 Oil Terminal.  She sailed on 29th bound for Whitegate.
Another  two arrivals on 28th - Bro Designer came in from Milford Haven with oil products for the Valero Terminal.  She sailed for Finnart on 29th.  ISARTAL (missed this one) arrived from Swansea and loaded steel/wire products at the No 1 Berth and sailed for Greenore on 31st.
On 29th another regular visitor, container ship Charlotte Borchard arrived from Leixoes, she sailed for Liverpool later the same day.

Santa Helena 1 arrived from Dakar via Las Palmas,  she berthed at the Seawood Shed and discharged granulated clay.  She is photographed on 4th January sailing for the local port of Uskport where she will load steel for Antwerp.
