CARDIFF - Weds August 21st 2013

Since the last post -
On 11th, the sand dredger Arco Dart came in, discharged at Hansons Wharf and returned to sea later the same day.
On 12th the feeder container ship Coronel arrived from Dublin.  She sailed for Warrenpoint on 13th
Two arrivals on 14th, the dredger UKD Bluefin - she'd arrived off Cardiff (from Port Talbot) on 11th and had been dredging the Wrach Channel. She berthed at F Shed for about 6 hours before sailing to Portbury. The sand dredger Welsh Piper came in and discharged at Empire Wharf and sailed again on the same tide.
Two arrivals on 16th - Coronel from Warrenpoint, she sailed for Dublin on 17th.  Thun Globe arrived from Milford Haven with oil products for the Valero Terminal.  She returned to MH on 17th.
Two arrivals on 17th: Welsh Piper again discharged at Empire Wharf and sailed on 18th.  NORRVIK arrived from Halmstad with a cargo of timber for Ryans Wharf.  She sailed for Fowey on 19th - I missed this one, so no photo. Photos and ship details here>>http://arnekiel.blogspot.co.uk
Two more arrivals on 18th: Aasvik from Belfast with cargo of stone (aggregate) for the Pontoon Wharf.  She sailed for Port Talbot on 19th.  Thun Globe was back again from Milford Haven, she discharged at the Valero Terminal and returned to MH on 19th.
On 20th Coronel arrived from Dublin.  She sailed for Warrenpoint on 21st.

Fehn Mariner

Fehn Mariner (ex - Eems Trader) photographed arriving from the Sea of Marmara.  She berthed at D Shed and unloaded.  She sailed on 13th and anchored in Barry Road to await orders before sailing to Birdport on 17th.

CARDIFF - Fri August 9th 2013

Feeder container ship Coronel arrived from Warrenpoint of 6th, sailed for Dublin on 9th.
On the 7th, the tug Tioga B left Penarth bound for her home port of Barrow.
On the 8th, the tanker Bro Developer arrived from Milford Haven.  She discharged at the Valero Terminal, returning to MH on 9th.

Two arrivals on the 9th  RMS Bremen came in from Sharpness, she berthed at Bells Wharf where she loaded a dry bulk cargo via conveyor belt.  She sailed for Figueira Da Foz (Portugal) on 10th.

CARDIFF - Mon August 5th 2013

There were three arrivals on 3rd - feeder container ship Coronel arrived from Warrenpoint, she sailed the same day, bound for Dublin.  Tanker Thun Globe came in from Milford Haven, she discharged at the Valero Terminal and returned to MH the next day.  Sand dredger Arco Dart came in, discharged at Hansons Wharf and went back out on the same tide.
Just the one arrival on the 4th, sand dredger Welsh Piper, she discharged at the Empire Wharf and returned to sea on the same tide.
Arco Dart was back in on the 5th, she discharged at Hansons Wharf and returned to sea on the same tide.

Tanker Bro Deliverer arrived from Milford Haven on 31st July, she discharged at the Valero Terminal and returned to MH on 1st Aug.
The sand dredger Welsh Piper came in on 1st Aug, discharged at the Empire Wharf and sailed on 2nd.

Photographed arriving from Newport.  Antwerp (ex- Wilson Antwerp, easily renamed with a pot of blue paint!)  Quite a nice looking design for a modern ship.  She will be loading steel products at the Number 1 Berth and is due to sail for Galway on 3rd Aug.

Arrived from Riga with a cargo of packaged timber.  Discharged on Ryans Wharf in the Roath Dock and sailed for Antwerp on 2nd August.

CARDIFF - Fri July 26th 2013

On 20th, the dredger Sospan Dau arrived off Penarth and commenced dredging of the entrance to Cardiff Bay (along with Tioga B)  she came into Cardiff Docks (F Shed) for about 12 hours on 25th.  When the dredging was complete, she sailed for Manchester on 29th.
On 23rd, RMS Vindava arrived from Bremen with a cargo of steel. She berthed on the Bells Wharf and sailed for Usk Birdport on 24th.
24th saw the arrival on the tanker Bro Distributor from Milford Haven, she discharged at the Valero Terminal and returned to MH on 25th.
