Ship movements information gathered from Associated British Ports and other sources.

Shipping movements at Cardiff and Barry has gone very quiet at the moment.  I noticed this vintage tug berthed on the River Ely, she's the Volunteer built in 1934 by Charles Hill & Son at Bristol for C J King & Sons Ltd also of Bristol.  She is now in private ownership and (slowly) making her way back to Bristol for restoration.  She left Whitehaven in December 2013, problems with the engines fuel supply meant that she only got as far as Holyhead where she has spent many months, she arrived at Cardiff/River Ely on 12th October.
