Arrived back this week after a few months away, and on her usual berth in Penarth Marina is the Archer Class patrol boat
Express. She is used as a training vessel, attached to University of Wales Royal Naval Unit - she provides training to undergraduate students and normally has a crew of 5 plus up to 12 students.
The picture was taken in November 2009 and shows her with a black hull - at the time she was the only Royal Naval surface ship to have a black hull - she now has a grey hull.

Also lying in Penarth Marina today was the Bay Towage & Salvage Co tug
Tioga B looking equipped to carry out some plough dredging work.

She had arrived from Kings Lynn earlier today and is seen discharging her cargo of scrap metal on Ryans Wharf in the Roath Dock. She sailed on 3rd bound for Sharpness.

The Estonian owned
Isidor arrived from Bermeo yesterday, discharging her cargo (of ?) on Ryans Wharf. She is due to sail on 4th, bound for Portbury.
